Kotpad, 22nd Sept 2025: A 10-point charter of demands was submitted to the Tahsildar on behalf of the Communist Party of India (CPI) from Kotpad, Koraput district, addressed to the Chief Minister. More than a hundred men and women from various panchayats in Kotpad gathered from Kenduguda and marched in a procession to the Kotpad Tahsil office to raise various local issues.
Under leadership, the memorandum was formally submitted. The demands included:
- Identification and distribution of government land located in Batasana Panchayat among the landless,
- Declaration of Kashamaguda village as a revenue village,
- Providing a pension of ₹5,000 to widows and differently-abled persons,
- Ending violence against women and ensuring their safety,
- And other demands forming the 10-point charter submitted to the Tahsildar.
