Malkangiri, 29th Aug 2025: A tragic road accident on the main road from MV-71 village to Edikonda Konda under MV-79 police limits claimed the life of a college student. Near Edikonda village, one motorcycle collided head-on with another.
In the accident, a college student died while another youth was seriously injured and is undergoing treatment at Kalimela Community Health Centre.
According to reports, Suresh Kartami (17), son of Laka Kartami of Edikonda village, was returning home after classes when another motorcycle coming from the opposite side, ridden by Kesha Sodi (19), son of Dama Sodi of the same village, rammed into him.
The collision was so severe that Suresh died on the way to the hospital. On being informed, MV-79 police reached the spot, seized both motorcycles, and have started an investigation.
