Collector Reviews Development and Security at Malkangiri Airport

Malkangiri April 02: District Collector Prathmesh Arvind Rajshirke reviewed the progress of development works and security arrangements at Malkangiri Airport.
During the visit, emphasis was laid on various technical aspects of the airport as well as passenger safety. The review meeting was attended by the Superintending Engineers of the Works and Urban Development Departments, along with the Sub-Collector of Malkangiri.
The Collector also held detailed discussions with officials regarding various land-related issues and other challenges within the airport premises and their resolution. He directed the tehsil team to complete land-related measurements and other formalities and submit a report by Monday evening.
He further instructed officials to strengthen security and patrolling arrangements. A special patrolling plan has been prepared with the available police force to ensure airport security, and responsibility for its strict implementation has been assigned to the Sub-Collector and the Revenue Inspector (RI).
These steps have been taken by the administration to remove all obstacles before the commencement of regular flight operations from the airport.
