Collector Directs Swift Resolution of 120 Public Grievances in Kotpad

Kotpad: A district-level joint public grievance redressal camp was held on Monday at the Kotpad Panchayat Samiti office in Koraput district. The camp was attended by District Collector V. Kirthivasan, all departmental officers, and public representatives from the block.

In total, 120 grievances were heard during the camp, including 25 individual and 95 group complaints. The Collector instructed concerned officials to resolve the issues promptly.

During the session, Samiti member Shukadev Bidar raised an allegation regarding fake billing without actual implementation of MGNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme) work in Sutipadar Panchayat of Kotpad. He demanded an investigation into the matter by submitting a written complaint to the Collector.

District-Level Joint Public Hearing

Pratima Bhatra from Girla Panchayat stated during the hearing that she had not received her pension.
There were also discussions on rural education, healthcare, and road infrastructure.

The Collector directed departmental officers to monitor the developmental activities in panchayats effectively. It was noted by public representatives that local officials were not properly supervising ongoing projects, leading to substandard work.

The camp was conducted under the coordination of newly appointed BDO (Block Development Officer) Sandhya Samartha, with full cooperation from all block staff.
