Bhubaneswar,  Jan, 17:  Severe cold conditions continue to prevail across the state. The temperature has dropped to as low as 2.6 degrees Celsius. In six locations, the temperature is below 6 degrees Celsius, while in seven places the mercury is hovering between 6 and 8 degrees Celsius.

From the coastal areas to the interior regions, the biting cold of the month of Magha is dominating everywhere. During the last 24 hours, Angul and Jharsuguda experienced extremely cold conditions, while Sundargarh, Khordha, and Cuttack remain under the grip of a cold wave.
