Bhubaneswar, 20th Nov 2025: The cold in the state is expected to reduce further. Last night, temperatures in many areas increased by 1–2 degrees. According to the Meteorology Department, over the next 2–3 days, temperatures will rise by another 2–3 degrees. From Thursday night onwards, most parts of the state will experience a decrease in cold along with more normal temperatures.
Night temperatures are expected to be:
Bhubaneswar, Khordha, Gopalpur: 17°C
Chhatrapur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Paradip, Chandbali, Balasore: 18°C
Puri: 20°C
G. Udayagiri remains the coldest region, with a recorded temperature of 5.6°C. Daringbadi and Phulbani recorded 8°C. On Sunday night, Daringbadi was 7°C, rising to 8°C on Monday. Semiliguda saw temperatures rise from 6.1°C to 7.7°C. Rourkela rose from 10°C to 11.5°C.

Koraput: 10.8°C → 11.5°C
Kendujhar: 11°C → 12.6°C
Kiriburu: 11°C → 11.5°C
Dhenkanal: 12°C → 13°C
Anugul dropped from 10.2°C → 9.8°C, and Chipilima from 10.2°C → 9.7°C. Bhubaneswar rose from 12.9°C → 14.1°C, and Cuttack from 13.2°C → 14°C.
In Jharasuguda, night temperature was 11°C. On Sunday it was 11.6°C and slightly decreased today. Here, the minimum temperature was about 6.4°C below normal. Other night temperatures recorded:

Hirakud: 14.8°C
Gopalpur: 15.4°C
Paradip: 16.6°C
Balasore: 17°C
Chandbali: 17.2°C
Puri: 18°C
In Bhubaneswar, it was about 5°C below normal, in Cuttack about 3.9°C below normal, Bhawanipatna 4.2°C below normal, Hirakud 4°C below normal, and Balangir 3.8°C below normal.
