Nabarangpur: Under the Odisha Government’s initiative “Mukhyamantri Bayu Swasthya Seva” (Chief Minister’s Air Health Service), quality healthcare services are being extended to the people of Nabarangpur district. As part of this initiative, experienced and senior specialist doctors from medical colleges visited Nabarangpur today to provide advanced medical consultations.
A total of 938 patients suffering from various ailments—such as neurological disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, urinary tract issues, cardiac diseases, and kidney-related illnesses—have registered their names at different block-level health centers by 6th July 2025 to avail of this service.
Today, under this program, the following specialist doctors examined patients at the District Headquarters Hospital:
Dr. Rakesh Mohanty – Neurology, from Subhas Chandra Bose Medical College
Dr. B. Shreejit Sahu – Urology
Dr. Panigrahi – Nephrology
Dr. Sumit Kumar Sahu – Cardiology
Dr. Rakesh Mohanty – Gastroenterology
After the primary health screenings today, arrangements have been made for patients to be treated by super-specialist senior doctors on 8th and 9th July 2025. On 10th July 2025, patients will receive follow-up consultations and medicines.
A total of 263 patients got their health check-ups done today after registering their names.
The health camp was also visited by District Collector Dr. Subhankar Mohapatra, who reviewed all the arrangements and directed the Chief District Medical Officer to ensure that no patient faces any inconvenience.
For the successful execution and coordination of this program, the team was led by Chief District Medical Officer Dr. Santosh Kumar Panda. Supporting the initiative were DPHO Dr. Nabakishore Behera, Dr. Sukanta Satapathy, DPM, NHM official Shankar Acharya, along with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, hospital managers, AYUSH doctors, and other health department staff.
This initiative is a significant step toward ensuring specialized healthcare access for the people in remote areas like Nabarangpur.
