Jeypore,29th July 2025: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to visit Jeypore on August 9, coinciding with the occasion of Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi Purnima).
In a special program, the Chief Minister will disburse the first installment of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ to 1 crore 2 lakh 40 thousand eligible women across the state. The funds will be directly credited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
In the Kotia Panchayat, all eligible women beneficiaries will be included under the scheme, and the assistance amount will also be distributed to them on the same day.
Ahead of the CM’s visit, Deputy Chief Minister Prabhati Parida has announced that she will visit Kotia to review the Subhadra enrollment process. The government is placing special emphasis on ensuring that the funds reach beneficiaries at the doorstep, especially in remote areas like Kotia.
So far, only those who have already been enrolled in the scheme will receive funds, but arrangements are underway to ensure that thousands of eligible women who were left out earlier are included in a phased manner.
Only those who do not pay income tax and whose annual income is below ₹2.5 lakhs are eligible. Those exceeding the limit will not receive the installment.
The Chief Minister is expected to arrive in Jeypore by special aircraft to attend the program.
