CM Mohan Charan Majhi Approves Hike in Allowances for Police Personnel

Bhubaneswar: With the aim of making the state police force more effective, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has approved an increase in allowances and incentives for police personnel. The proposal in this regard has been sanctioned by the Chief Minister.

As per this decision, the uniform allowance for police personnel from constables to inspectors has been doubled. The annual uniform allowance for Inspectors has been increased from Rs 4,300 to Rs 8,600. For Sub-Inspectors and ASIs, it has been increased from Rs 4,200 to Rs 8,400. For Havildars, Constables, and Sepoys, it has been raised from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000. For ex-army personnel in the Special Striking Force, the annual uniform allowance has been raised from ₹5,900 to ₹11,800. Officers and personnel of equivalent ranks will also receive the same allowance.

Additionally, the annual extra duty incentive for Consta bles, Sepoys, and personnel of  equivalent ranks has been increased up to a maximum of Rs 25,000. Similarly, for Havildars and equivalent ranks, the extra duty annual incentive has been increased up to Rs 30,000.

Following this decision, representatives of constables, havildars, and sepoys met the Chief Minister at Lok Seva Bhawan and expressed their gratitude. The Chief Minister advised everyone to uphold the trust and expectations of the people of the state and contribute to making Odisha an ideal state in the field of peace and order.
