Bhubaneswar: Education will now be imparted through play and entertainment. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the ‘Jadupedi’ initiative at Lok Seva Bhawan. The Chief Minister stated that young children will learn about everyday items and their uses through the toys provided in this ‘Jadupedi’ kit. These toys will not only help children learn but also draw their interest toward studies.
The ‘Jadupedi’ concept has been developed as per the National Education Policy 2020, specifically aimed at children in pre-primary, Grade 1, and Grade 2. The kit has been prepared by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). It will be distributed to 45,000 schools across the state.
Each kit will cost approximately Rs 20,000, with a total projected expenditure of Rs 90 crore.
