Balangir ,19th Aug 2025: A cluster-level coordination meeting on the issue of distressed migrant workers was held at the Muribahal Samiti Conference Hall. Officials from three blocks—Muribahal, Bongomunda, and Titilagarh—representing different departments participated in the meeting.
The discussion primarily focused on preventing people from migrating as distressed bonded labourers to other states and instead ensuring they receive employment opportunities locally and are properly rehabilitated. The meeting emphasized the need for strong inter-departmental coordination to effectively address this issue.
The meeting was presided over by Balangir District PD (PDRDA) Taranisen Suna. Among others present were:
