Nabarangpur: The Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities organized an assessment camp at the District Divyang Rehabilitation Center, located within the premises of the Nabarangpur District Hospital, to evaluate and plan surgical treatment for children with congenital clubfoot.
The camp was visited by District Collector Dr. Subhankar Mahapatra, who emphasized the importance of necessary medical treatment for children with clubfoot. A total of 70 children with clubfoot were examined, out of which 60 children were identified for surgical intervention. The surgeries have been scheduled for the second week of March, and the families have been informed accordingly.
The camp was organized under the direct supervision of District Social Security Officer Sudhanshu Patra. Additionally, DDRO (District Disability Rehabilitation Officer) Kandhamal Akshaya Kumar Panda participated in the event, conducting necessary examinations and taking required steps for the treatment of the affected children.
