Kotpad: A cleanliness campaign titled “Adopt Cleanliness, Drive Away Disease” was launched at the Kotpad NAC (Notified Area Council) office by Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra, who flagged off the program.
The inauguration took place in the presence of Swachh Saathis (cleanliness ambassadors) and NAC staff. The campaign will continue until the 30th of this month, aiming to raise awareness about keeping not just public spaces but also one’s own residence clean.
Executive Officer Kamalesh Mahanta Hans informed that the initiative will focus on educating the public about the importance of hygiene and how cleanlinessT is the only effective means to prevent outbreaks of diseases like cholera, dengue, and COVID-19.
The chief guest appealed to everyone to adopt cleanliness in daily life. The awareness program was organized under the leadership of NAC Chairperson Shankar Rao and saw the participation of SHG members, sanitation workers, and councillors.
