Nabarangpur:Jan, 23: On the occasion of National Road Safety Month, a road safety awareness rally was organised in the district today. The rally began in front of the Nabarangpur Collector’s Office and proceeded up to the Mission Shakti Conference Hall.
The programme was organised by the Regional Transport Office (RTO). District Collector Dr. Maheshwar Swain and Superintendent of Police Madkar Sandeep Sampad were present and flagged off the rally. All participants took the road safety pledge administered by the government.
On this occasion, the District Collector urged everyone present to strictly follow road safety rules and to create awareness among others as well.
Students of Raja Chaitanya Dev Nodal High School, officials from the RTO, DEO, Superintending Engineer, R&B CDM, Traffic Inspector, other district-level officers, and members of the Nabarangpur Drivers’ Association participated in the rally. Various road safety–related slogans were raised and leaflets were distributed to spread awareness during the procession.
