Jeypore, Dec, 27: On the occasion of the holy Christmas, the final match of the Christmas Football Tournament was held at the local J.E.L.C. Jubilee Ground in Jaypur between the Jeypore CWA-C and CWA-B teams. The CWA-A team won the match by scoring one goal.

The chief guest for the final match was Bishop Shri Ananta Kumar Nayak of Jeypore J.E.L.C. Church, who distributed prizes to both teams. The tournament was organized by Johan Harijan and Yugala Kishore Nayak, with support from C.G.P. Secretary Rajiv Kumar Nayak and Vice President Jnan Shekhar. According to the organizers, a total of 16 teams participated in this year’s Christmas Football Tournament.

The Indian Journalists’ Association, Koraput District, encouraged and motivated the players of both teams and presented two awards to each team. As in previous years, the tournament was held at the Jeypore J.E.L.C. Jubilee Ground to promote brotherhood and sportsmanship in the community.

Before the match began, Bishop Ananta Kumar Nayak offered prayers for Lord Jesus and extended his best wishes and congratulations to all the players. Additionally, Jogendra Singh (President), member Kamal Bhatra, and State Editor Shubhashish Nayak of the Odisha Journalists’ Association, Koraput District, presented two awards to both teams.

As part of the team awards, the Public School Football Team was also honored, with the school’s teacher, Sandeep Kumar, present to receive the award on behalf of the team.
