Lamtaput,Jan, 17: On the occasion of New Year celebrations, a friendship and fellowship meeting was organized by members of the Christian community, under the guidance of Christian priest D. Khemundu, in the premises of a Christian church near Doliguda village. The event brought together Christian brothers and sisters and Hindu brothers in a spirit of harmony and goodwill.
The organizers stated that the programme aimed to exchange New Year greetings and congratulations, and to strengthen mutual love, friendship, affection, and brotherhood between Hindu and Christian communities.
The programme was attended by Lamtaput Panchayat Samiti Chairman Tapas Kumar Chalan as the chief guest. Among the distinguished guests were Mukunda Hantal, Headmaster of Mangal Department High School; Purnachandra Pangi, Zilla Parishad Zone No. 1 Member; Shibani Muduli, Additional Block Education Officer; Balabhadra Pukia, Samiti Member of Petta Gram Panchayat; and senior journalist Pratap Nimal, among others.
On this occasion, the chief and distinguished guests were felicitated with bouquets and ceremonial shawls.
Later, Yugala Kishore Nag extended New Year greetings and best wishes to all the guests and sought the blessings of Lord Jesus Christ for everyone.
