Chitrakonda Feb, 23:A new chapter of collective development has begun in Chitrakonda Block through joint efforts of block-level officials and the Piramal Foundation under the Aspirational Block Programme. Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0 has emerged as a transformative initiative aimed at achieving 100% saturation targets across key development indicators.
In this context, the Chitrakonda Block administration formally launched the campaign yesterday, reaffirming its strong commitment to inclusive and comprehensive development. The programme is not merely an administrative exercise but serves as a bridge between government schemes and public participation. Its objective is to bring every family into the mainstream of development and ensure last-mile delivery of government services through structured public awareness efforts.
Awareness Rally and Public Participation
To ensure successful implementation of Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0, a large morning awareness rally was organized in the block. Students from local educational institutions, ANM trainees, Mission Shakti women Self Help Group (SHG) members, frontline workers, and Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) representatives participated in large numbers — about 320 people in total.
Participants carried colorful banners and placards highlighting six identified block-level development indicators. These visual messages helped communicate complex administrative goals to the general public in simple language and encouraged social mobilization.

District-level officials, District Programme Officers of Piramal Foundation Rajaram Mallik and Bishnu Prasad Sahu, Aspirational Block Fellow Jagannath Nayak, Panchayat Samiti members, Sarpanches, and a large number of citizens participated enthusiastically.
A key highlight of the event was the Sampurnata Pledge, where all attendees collectively resolved to achieve 100% success in the six priority indicators. Cultural programmes presented by school students added energy and enthusiasm to the gathering.
Building on Earlier Success
It is noteworthy that during Sampurnata Abhiyan 1.0, the district administration of Malkangiri district and its three blocks together won four gold medals, setting an example at the state and national levels. Building on that convergence model and inter-departmental coordination success, the Chitrakonda Block administration has prepared a strong strategy to surpass earlier achievements in Sampurnata Abhiyan 2.0.
With transparency, accountability, inter-departmental coordination, and broad public participation, Chitrakonda Block is now fully geared toward inclusive and sustainable development. This collective effort is expected to bring far-reaching social and economic change in the region.
