Mathili, Jan, 20: A forest fire prevention, wildlife protection awareness, and forest land patta distribution programme was organized at Damabeda village under Gobindpalli Panchayat, under the chairmanship of Mathili Forest Range Officer Shri Basudev Nayak.
The Hon’ble Chitrakonda MLA Shri Mangu Khil was present as the chief guest. He distributed forest land pattas to 79 forest-dwelling beneficiaries and advised the villagers to actively protect forests and wildlife.
Similarly, as the main speaker, Gobindpalli Sarpanch Shri Srinivas Muduli explained the importance of forest land pattas and how various development-oriented activities can be undertaken on this land for overall village development.
Isaac Khosla, MLA’s representative, and workers of the “Ama Jungle Yojana” and Srushti organisation were present as guests of honour.
More than 500 people from nearby villages such as Andha Andhari, Dabuguda, Rukunikuti Atal, Nuaguda, Pakhana Guda and others attended the programme.
Officials including the Damabeda, Gobindpalli Section Forest Guard, Mathili Forest Guard, Salimi Forest Guard, forest watchers and para staff provided assistance in the distribution of pattas.
