Malkangiri, Jan, 01: The two-day district-level Children’s Science Exhibition held at the Government High School concluded successfully. A total of 49 projects were exhibited during the event. Out of these, seven best projects were selected to participate in the state-level competition.
The exhibition was organized under the chairmanship of Additional District Education Officer Manjulata Bhoi. The local MLA, Narsingh Madkami, attended the programme as the chief guest and encouraged the young scientists to enhance the pride and prestige of the district and the state.
Among the distinguished guests were Additional District Education Officer Bhagirathi Behera, Kalimela BEO Ramesh Baroi as the keynote speaker, Khairput BEO Dillip Kumar Ganda, Mathili BEO Sumit Biswas, District Science Supervisor Jagannath Prasad Behera, and Convener as well as Malkangiri BEO Mamata Sai.
The seven projects selected for the state level were:
- Nutrition-based Agriculture: Divya Bharati Pangi
- Waste Management: Akash Mandal
- Green Energy: Shivali Mistry
- Advanced Technical Skills: Rahul Ray
- Mathematical Innovation: Shubham Kumar Behera
- Health and Sanitation: Deepika Raju
- Water Conservation and Management: Sanjana Sprangadhar
On this occasion, open-stage quiz and origami competitions were also organized. Later, the distinguished guests felicitated and awarded the meritorious young scientists.
The programme was conducted by the school’s science teacher, Sandeep Kumar Das. Teachers and staff members including Sanjeev Kumar Baidya, Debaraj Sethi, Shivaprasad Patra, Manas Senapati, Ranjit Parija, Smritirekha Ojha, Anima Mahanti, Sandhyarani Mahapatra, Namita Chalan, Shubhashree Satapathy, Mamata Nayak, Ankita Seth, Priyampada Biswal, Chiranjib Panda, Durgamadhab Padhi, Guptashankar Gantayat, and Sarat Das extended their cooperation in making the event successful.
