Bhubaneswar: Members of the ruling party and several members of the opposition have repeatedly stated in their speeches that nothing special has been done in the last 8 months. I would like to inform you all that, compared to that, I am very pleased to say that in just 24 minutes after the formation of our government, we have shown more work in the first Cabinet meeting than the previous government did in 24 years. The opposition had made false promises of giving farmers a ₹100 bonus, but within 24 minutes of forming the government, we announced that we would give rs800 input subsidy for every quintal of paddy.

Regarding women empowerment, which had only been a slogan for 24 years, we decided within 24 minutes to provide rs10,000 annually to nearly one crore women in the state. So far, the first installment of the ‘Subhadra’ scheme has been given to over 98.8 lakh women. The ‘Subhadra’ scheme and the Farmer Prosperity Scheme have undoubtedly increased the monthly income of farming families in Odisha, which is now visible when compared to the past.

In the government’s assessment, we can compare the achievements of the last 8 months with those of the previous 24 years. The opposition’s criticism has been answered effectively by the Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, during the discussions following the Governor’s speech.

The Chief Minister stated that the Governor’s speech emphasized preparing a visionary path for the bright future of the state and highlighted the government’s commitment to the state’s overall development.
