Bhubaneswar, Jan, 10: All correspondence, notices, and notifications will be issued in the Odia language. All types of government work must be carried out exclusively in Odia. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed all officials—from the Secretariat down to the block level—to strictly comply with this instruction. The Chief Minister has also instructed the newly appointed Chief Secretary, Anu Garg, to take strict measures in this regard.
The Chief Minister clearly stated that any violation of this directive will invite an explanation from the concerned official. By issuing such instructions, the Chief Minister has reiterated his commitment to the use of Odia as the official language in government administration.
To make governance and administration more efficient and dynamic in the new year, the Chief Minister has laid out a clear plan. With the objective of making the administration more responsive and people-centric, he has issued a 15-point directive to the new Chief Secretary, Ms. Garg.

Priority to achieving the two-year targets set out in the Odisha Vision Document
Fast-tracking industrialization, with District Collectors playing a proactive role
Speedy resolution of public grievances, from the Secretariat to the block level
Evaluation of officers’ efficiency based on the outcomes of their field visits
The Chief Minister emphasized that the Odisha Vision Document should be given utmost importance. He directed that the targets set in the first phase of the Vision Document must be achieved within the next two years. For this purpose, officials have been instructed to work with clear priorities.
The long-term goal, the Chief Minister stated, is to build a prosperous Odisha with a USD 500 billion economy by 2036, and to position Odisha among the leading states of the country.
