Chief Minister Conducts 12th Public Grievance Hearing to Address Citizens’ Issues

16th July 2025, Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi conducted his 12th “Jana Sunani” (public grievance hearing) to directly address the concerns of citizens. A total of Rs 53 lakh was sanctioned as assistance to 48 individuals, primarily for medical treatment, under the Single Window System.

Accompanied by seven ministers, the Chief Minister personally listened to the grievances and assured quick resolution through immediate departmental coordination. “People should never feel helpless in front of the government,” said the CM during the session.

In the earlier 11 hearings, 93Percent of the registered grievances were successfully resolved. This time as well, most complaints received on the spot were promptly addressed, and relevant officials were directed to follow up with necessary actions.

Of the aid provided in this session, Rs 9 lakh was distributed among 10 people, while multiple patients received financial support for critical health-related needs. Detailed verification and evaluation were conducted by officials before disbursing the assistance.

Later, at the CM’s office, officials from relevant departments were summoned for detailed instructions regarding timely grievance redressal and accountability.
