Nabarangpur, 26th Aug 2025: The 12th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Nabarangpur celebrated the 79th Independence Day with patriotic fervor.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant N.K.K. Prasad recalled that India had been under foreign rule for centuries—from the Mughals to the British—before finally achieving freedom through the sacrifices of countless great leaders. He highlighted the uniqueness of India, saying that despite immense diversity in language and geography, the country has remained united, which is rare in the world.
He further stated that though the struggles of subjugation were severe, India attained independence only because of the unmatched sacrifices of many national heroes who dreamed of uniting the nation. Addressing his troops, Commandant Prasad emphasized:
“The nation is our foremost priority. We must always be ready to serve the country wholeheartedly, no matter what the circumstances are.”
Deputy Commandant Rajiv Kumar, Madan Kumar, P.K. Sahu, P. Sanwal, V.A. Patil, Pavitra Bhatra, soldiers of the 12th Battalion, as well as students and other dignitaries, were present at the celebration.
