Central Reserve Police Celebrate Independence Day with Patriotic Zeal

Nabarangpur:18th Aug 2025:   The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at the 12th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Nabarangpur. The CRPF was formed even before the country achieved independence. Speaking on the occasion, Commandant N.K.K. Prasad said that India had suffered long years of slavery—first under the Mughals and then under the British. Yet, despite vast diversity in language and geography, the unity of the nation is unparalleled and rare in the world.

He further said that although foreign rule had many forms of brutality, it was through the sacrifice of countless great personalities that the country ultimately attained freedom. The sacrifices made by those leaders to unite the nation were extraordinary.

Commandant Prasad urged his soldiers to remember that the nation comes first, and under any circumstances they must be ready to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly in service to the country.

Among others present were Deputy Commandant Rajiv Kumar, Madan Kumar, P.K. Sahu, P. Sanwal, V.A. Patil, Pavitra Bhatra, soldiers of the 12th Battalion, as well as a number of students.
