Puri 19th Nov 2025: The centenary celebration of the Puri branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, located near Swargadwara, was held recently. The morning events at the Sangha premises included spiritual discussions, Guru Puja, and Shiva Puja. In the evening, a religious assembly was organized at the Puri Municipality.
Surama Padhi, Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, attended as the chief guest. The Speaker highlighted the need for reform in social values. The editorial head of Sambad, Tanaya Pattnayak, and Professor Dr. Prashant Raut from Mizoram Central University also attended as honored guests. The guests spoke about India’s development, the role and significance of Bharat Sevashram Sangha in nation-building, and its contributions to society.
The guests were first felicitated with traditional shawls, Rudraksha malas, and mementos. Swami Purnanandaji Maharaj, Executive President of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, gave blessings. Prizes were awarded to participants of a university-level essay competition on the divine life of Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, previously organized by the Puri branch.
During the occasion, the centenary commemorative publication Shreekshetra magazine was released by the Sangha. Individuals who have dedicated themselves to different fields of society were also felicitated by the Sangha. Swami Vishwatmanandaji Maharaj, the Sangha’s General Editor, conducted the session.
At the final stage of the event, an animated film based on the teachings of Swami Pranavanandaji was screened. The cultural program, featuring Odisha’s renowned Chhau dance, captivated all attendees.
