Chandahandi, 16th Oct 2025: On the newly constructed Bhandar river bridge in Dandamunda under Chandahandi police station of Nabarangpur district, a car met with an accident while trying to avoid a tractor. The car driver narrowly escaped with minor injuries.
According to reports, the car (registration number CG04 NG 4796) belonging to Bisikeshan Padhi of Chandahandi Sadar village was returning from Dandamunda to Chandahandi when a tractor suddenly appeared on the bridge. In an attempt to avoid the tractor, the driver lost control of the car, which then hit the bridge side.
Due to the impact, both side airbags of the car deployed, which helped protect the driver from serious injury. He sustained only minor injuries.
A case regarding the accident has been registered at Chandahandi police station, and ASI Labanya Bemal is currently investigating the incident.
