Bhubaneswar,  Jan, 08:  At the premises of Jiva Hotel in Bhubaneswar, the fifth annual celebration of the literary organization “Ama Aganare Saj Phula Paribara Sahitya Anusthan” was held with great enthusiasm. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the institution’s founder, Pradyumna Kumar Bhutia.

The event was graced by Mihir Kumar Meher as the chief guest, Manoj Kumar Mishra as the keynote speaker, Santosh Kumar Kar as guest of honour, and distinguished guests Bipin Kumar Lenka, Golak Kumar Behera, and Krushna Chandra Mohapatra. The stage proceedings were smoothly conducted, and child artist Annapurna Nayak presented a classical dance performance.

The programme began with the offering of floral garlands to Lord Jagannath, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the release of books. The institution’s annual magazine “Ama Aganara Sajphula” was unveiled. Along with it, books by Sikta Karanka titled “Anjulaye Phula” and the short story collection “Shrabani” were released. Additionally, the book “Jharaka Se Pakha” by calligrapher Supriya Mahanti was also unveiled.

Literary organizations that have played a leading role in the field of literature—Banimithaka Sahitya Anusthan, Bhargabi Sahitya Sansad, and Beenapani Sahitya Sansad—were felicitated on the occasion. From the Jenapur area of Jajpur district, Pandit Jagabandhu Nanda was honoured with the “Ma Biraja Bhumi Putra Samman” for his contribution to environmental and nature conservation.

The successful organization of the programme was made possible with the dedicated efforts of Kunjabihari Dalai, Sasmita Barik, Swagatika Sahu, Arundhati Lenka, Subrat Kumar Das, Debaki Bhutia, Nilima Pattnaik, and Jayanti Behera. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Rita Aparajita Mahanti and Supriya Mahanti.
Writers and poets from various districts of Odisha were felicitated during the programme. On this occasion, noted writer and literary figure Manoranjan Mahanti of Ramakrushnapur village in Bhadrak district was honoured with the prestigious “Shabda Kuber Samman” in recognition of his remarkable contribution to the field of literature.
