Debagarh, 10th Nov 2025:— A night coach bus met with an accident on National Highway No. 49 near Ambedkar Chhak under the Debagarh Municipality area. Fortunately, the bus driver and passengers escaped with minor injuries.
According to reports, a bus named Khusi (Registration No. OD11AL-3741), traveling from Balasore to Jharsuguda, reached near Ambedkar Chhak on NH-49 around 4:30 a.m. on Friday. At that moment, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing the bus to veer off the road.
However, several trees along the roadside prevented the bus from falling further, as it got stuck after hitting them. Following the accident, passengers were shifted to another bus and sent to their respective destinations.
The Debagarh police have seized the bus, registered a case, and launched an investigation into the incident.
