Devgad,10th Nov 2025:– A night coach bus met with an accident near Ambedkar Square on National Highway 49, under the jurisdiction of Devgad municipality. Fortunately, the bus driver and passengers suffered only minor injuries.
According to reports, a bus named Khusi (No. OD11EL-3741) traveling from Balasore to Jharasuguda reached near Ambedkar Square on National Highway 49 at around 4:30 a.m. on Friday. At that time, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road. Since there were numerous small and large trees along the roadside, the bus got stuck after hitting them.
After the accident, the passengers were transferred to another bus and sent to their respective destinations. The Devgad police have seized the bus, registered a case, and are investigating the matter.
