Kotpad, Bulldozer was deployed by the administration for the demolition of structures along the road from Biju Pattnaik Square to Haradaput as part of the road widening project under the 10th Ward of Kotpad Municipality. The demolition was carried out in the presence of Kotpad Sub-Collector M. Neelakantha Naidu, N.S.C. Officer Puja Raut, and the police force. The operation was conducted peacefully with full cooperation from the public.
During the process, the road’s two sides were not properly marked for widening, which was pointed out to the concerned authorities. The authorities were requested to properly measure and mark both sides equally for the widening work. The officers assured that they would take action in response to the request. This road widening project, which had been pending in the 10th Ward, will now proceed following the demolition. Authorities have confirmed that the widening work will begin soon after the demolition.
