Malkangiri, 27th Oct 2025: : While returning from leave to resume duty, a BSF jawan lost his life in a tragic car accident and could not reach his workplace.
The accident occurred on the Andhra Pradesh border near Chintur. The Chintur police reached the site and rescued the dead and injured. According to reports, jawans of the Bali Battalion 142, BSF camp at Balimela, Malkangiri district, were returning from Andhra Pradesh to Balimela by car late last night after their leave.
At Chintur border, the car collided with a truck. As a result, one jawan died on the spot, while five others were injured, including the car driver, who is in critical condition.
The deceased has been identified as Havildar Gaurav Pandey of the BSF battalion. The injured have been admitted to Chintur and Khammam hospitals for treatment.
