Borigumma BDO Steps In as Teacher Amid Staff Crunch

Borigumma, 6th Aug 2025:   When you’re a BDO, this is what leadership looks like!  Borigumma BDO Sukanta Kumar Pattnayak took on the role of a teacher during a school visit at Kanagaon under the block, where he had gone to attend a grievance redressal program.  At that time, students of the local school had locked the school gate in protest, demanding the appointment of a mathematics teacher. In a commendable gesture, the BDO himself engaged with the students, pacified them, and taught mathematics to Class 9 students.  Joining him, WEO Sonali Nayak also stepped in and taught science to Class 10 students. BDO Pattnayak stated that until a permanent teacher is appointed, block officials and he himself will continue to visit the school and teach whenever time permits.
