Nabarangpur, Dec, 23: Laboratory Technician Adhikari Das (39), who was working at the Blood Bank of the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital, passed away due to a heart attack. He was undergoing treatment in Chennai.
Late Adhikari Das had experienced chest pain on the 12th of this month, following which he was immediately admitted to the District Headquarters Hospital. Later, he was referred to Visakhapatnam. As his condition did not improve, he was subsequently shifted to a private hospital in Chennai, where he also underwent surgery. However, he passed away while under treatment.
His last rites were performed at his native village Deogaon, near Balangir. Staff members of the Blood Bank and the District Headquarters Hospital attended the funeral.
Expressing deep sorrow over the loss, CDMO Dr. Santosh Panda and DMO Dr. Sukanta Satapathy stated that the department has lost a sincere and dedicated employee and conveyed their heartfelt condolences.
