Redhakhol, 2nd Sept 2025: A social audit public hearing camp was held at the conference hall of Redhakhol block in Sambalpur district. The camp was presided over by Additional District Collector (General) Ashok Kumar Bhoi of Sambalpur. Present at the event were District Social Auditor Artrana Satapathy, Block President Pradeep Pradhan, District Council member Sarat Kumar Pradhan, GPO Panchanan Behera, Additional Programme Officer Sabyasachi Dandasena, among others.
The camp conducted a review of the MNREGA scheme, National Food Security, and Comprehensive Education for the financial year 2024-2025. In Redhakhol block, 10 committees have registered for MNREGA public hearings for the period 1st October 2024 to 31st March 2025, with the social audit scheduled on 26th August 2025.

Various departmental issues were discussed in detail during the meeting. The District Social Auditor pointed out that many MNREGA projects do not have properly displayed information boards. In response, the chairman instructed that the information boards be updated with correct details within 15 days. The chairman also ordered that correct documents be attached to case records maintained under line departments.
The Block President Pradeep Pradhan gave advice on how various schemes and projects under the Panchayat committees can be implemented with cleanliness and transparency.
GPO Panchanan Behera expressed his gratitude.
Additional District Collector Ashok Kumar Bhoi arrived around 12:30 PM and engaged in discussions with officers and employees present at the camp.
