Kolnara, 27th Sept 2025: A Block-Level Science Seminar was organized yesterday at the premises of Jagadamba Government Higher Secondary School, located in Kolnara.
In this event, one selected student each from nine government high schools across the block participated, presenting their thoughts and projects on the topic:
“Quantum Age: Potential and Challenges” (KA/2 Yugara Arambha, Sambhavana o Ahwana).
The students showcased their scientific understanding and creativity through well-prepared science models and presentations based on this theme.
Among the participants, Ashirbad Dora, a student of Kolnara Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, secured the first position and was nominated for the district-level competition.
The seminar featured Professors P. Pawan Kumar and Dibyaranjan Subudhi from Bhubaneshwar MIT Engineering College as chief judges.
Block Education Officer (BEO) Manjulata Jena attended the event as the chief guest. She appreciated the students’ scientific mindset and creativity, encouraging them to pursue innovative thinking.
The event was conducted by Rajendranath Mishra, the Headmaster of Jagadamba Government Higher Secondary School.
Science teachers from various schools across the block also attended the seminar and extended their active support, making the event a collaborative and successful effort.
