Jharsuguda, Dec, 04: The 30th Block-Level National Children’s Science Exhibition, covering science, mathematics, and environment, was organized on Friday at Government High School, Pakelapada, by the Block Education Department, Laikera, Jharsuguda district. The exhibition was inaugurated under the chairmanship of Group Education Officer Himanshu Bag.
Dr. Radhakant Gadatia, District Education Officer, attended as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the science exhibition. The keynote speaker was Dr. Ananta Prasad Chakraborty, Professor of Materials Science at GM University. The honored guests included Group Education Officer Rajendra Prasad Sahu, Anil Patel, Prakash Sahu, Jaynarayan Panda, Laikera Janmajaay Nayak, Assistant Group Education Officer Harish Chandra Nayak, District Science Inspector Niroj Patel, social worker Tomar Chand Pradhan, and School Management Committee Chair Ajit Patel. They guided the students on the role of science in contemporary times.
A total of 145 projects from 83 schools in the block were exhibited across seven themes:
1. Sustainable Agriculture
2. Waste Management and Alternatives to Plastic
3. Green Energy
4. Emerging Technology
5. Recreational Mathematical Modelling
6. Health and Hygiene
7. Water Conservation Management
Among these, seven projects were selected for the District-Level Science Fair.
During the celebration, presided over by Group Education Officer Himanshu Bag, the chief guest was District Council Chair Tulabati Minz. Honored guests included District Council Member Anjukta Behera (Laikera Zone-K), Block Chair Sanjit Nayak, former District Council Member Bhupal Chandra Behera, Janmajaay Nayak, Harish Chandra Nayak, Pakelapada Sarpanch Sukeshini Patel, Committee Member Maithili Patel, Social Worker Poulsti Patel, Madan Minz, retired Physical Education Teacher Suresh Chandra Nayak, among others.
Judges for the exhibition were Pramod Kumar Patel, Alok Kumar Patel, Prashant Bishwal, Salini Sheetam, and Purnachandra Sahu. Supporting teachers included Vijay Kumar Tripathy along with OV Mudrajor, teacher Trishna Suna, CRCSC Pradeep Kumar Nayak, and teacher Kishore Luha. The event was managed by the stage committee and entertainment team of CRCSC, who coordinated and concluded the program successfully.
