Nabarangpur, Dec, 20: The Block-Level MP Sports Festival was inaugurated at Badmasigaon. Gauri Shankar Majhi, MLA of Nabarangpur, attended as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the sports festival. The event began with a ritual worship at the local village deity’s temple, followed by the lighting of the sports torch.
The program was organized under the chairmanship of Sunil Neel Khara. Among the prominent attendees were District Welfare Officer Palaka Ravindra, District Coordinator of the MP Sports Festival Prahallad Tripathi, BJP District President Kunj Bihari Das, Core Committee Member Jyoti Ranjan Kans, Badmasigaon Village Sarpanch Kamaleshwari Nayak, Sharmistha Deo, Santosh Patra, and other local sarpanches and committee members.
The three-day sports festival will feature competitions in cricket, football, volleyball, 100-meter and 200-meter races, kabaddi, kho-kho, and other fun sports events.
