Kotpad, 3rd Nov 2025: The Block-Level Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Fair 2025 was held at the Kotpad Animal Husbandry Department office. The event was attended by all district-level officials of the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Department, including Kotpad NAC EO Kamalesh Mahant, President M. Shankar Rao, Block Vice President Tapan Panigrahi, Legislative Assembly representative Suren Mahanti, MP representative Sunil Tripathi, Vinayak Acharya, District Chief Veterinary Officer Dr. Lakshmidhar Behera, and other district veterinary officers.
During the program, interested fish farmers, livestock owners, and other farmers visited various stalls. Journalists from Bharat Media Association were also present along with farmers from all Kotpad block areas and NAC.
On this occasion, 8 farmers were honored with certificates and seals by the dignitaries present. Special assistance, such as fodder distribution for livestock and seasonal grass allocation, was provided, especially for young livestock owners.
All sarpanches, committee members, and members of the gram panchayats of Kotpad block attended and participated in the event. From the Kotpad Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Priyabrata Behera, Dr. Satyabrata Samantaray, Dr. Pratik Sahu, Sub-Divisional Veterinary Officer Dr. Bishwajit Ray, and all livestock inspectors from the Kotpad area were present.
The program saw the participation of approximately fifty enthusiastic farmers, highlighting the strong local interest in fisheries and animal husbandry.
