Brahmapur, 20th Aug 2025: On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day, a flag hoisting ceremony was held at Nehru Nagar, Gosaainuagaon in Berhampur. The program was organized with the participation of local school students. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Sunil Kumar Sahu attended the event and hoisted the National Flag.
Extending greetings to the students, he wished them a bright future. Speaking on the occasion, Sahu said that Independence reminds us of the countless sacrifices and struggles through which we achieved freedom. He further called upon everyone to take a pledge to work for the unity, integrity, and progress of the nation.
Among those present at the event were BJP State Yuva Morcha Secretary Tutun Patra, Ganjam District OBC Morcha President Madan Mohan Patra, District Yuva Morcha Secretary Kamal Patra, advocate Manabhanjan Pattnayak, Krishna Palai, Neelakantha Behera, Sanjay Kumar Das, Sheetal Jena, Sridhar Pal, Krishna Chandra Choudhury, S. Shrinivas, along with many other party leaders, school teachers, and local residents.
