Papadahandi: On the occasion of the sacred Akshaya Tritiya, the BJP unit of Papadahandi block organized the traditional ‘Akhi Muthi Anukula’ ceremony this morning at the agricultural field of farmer Sri Astu Bhatara in the nearby village of Daleiguda.
The event was attended by senior BJP leader and farmer Sri P. Venkata Rao, Sri Harimohan Sharma, MP representative Sri Somanath Pujari, Dangara Mandal President Sri Krishna Rao, Ghataguda Sarpanch Sri Lochhaman Bhatara, Sri Chaitanya Bhatara, Sri Trinath Amanatya, Balibhadra Jani, and Dibakar Jani, along with several BJP block workers and local villagers.
This ritual marked the symbolic beginning of the sowing season. Across the state, this day is officially observed as Farmers’ Day.
