Phulbani,14th Oct 2025:  : The Indian National Congress is protesting across the country, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of winning elections through vote rigging. As part of a signature collection campaign, the Congress in Kandhamal district has so far collected 20,000 signatures, aiming to collect a total of 50,000 signatures.

In the district’s 171 panchayats, 210 units have been formed, and party workers are actively collecting signatures, stated Chandra Shekhar Parida, the district president, at a press conference held today at the district Congress office. The press conference was attended by PCC observer H.R. Husein Khan, J. Udayagiri MLA Prafulla Chandra Pradhan, former MP Radhakant Digal, former district president Devendra Kahar, senior leaders Hemant Kar, Basant Padhi, Rajat Mahanti, block presidents, district council members, and other prominent leaders.

On this occasion, during the gathering, a significant number of former BJP workers and members joined the Congress today. Among them were BJP youth leader Abhishek Shak Nayak, minority cell leader Ranchhaya Nayak, former committee member Gopal Nayak, social media cell member Rajbala Singh, former sarpanch of Rotingi Ngia Paul Pradhan Dhan, and former sarpanch of Katingia Isak Pradhan, along with many other supporters.
