Brahmapur,7th Oct 2025: The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has demanded a thorough investigation into the black marketing of fertilizers in Ganjam district and the tragic drowning of three individuals in the Bahuda River near Digapahandi block. The party has also called for appropriate ex-gratia compensation for the families of the deceased.
At a press conference held today at the Ganjam district BJD office under the leadership of district BJD president Bikram Panda, several senior leaders and party functionaries were present. Those in attendance included:

They expressed concern over the severe fertilizer shortage in Ganjam district in recent days and alleged that it has led to widespread black marketing. They demanded that the state government expose and take action against those responsible.
Regarding the recent drowning of three individuals in the Bahuda River under Digapahandi block, the leaders called for a proper investigation and urged the government to provide adequate compensation to the families affected by the incident.
