Malkangiri: In Malkangiri district, tribal people reside in Tulasi Hill of Mathuli block’s Temurupalli panchayat. On Sunday, the Block BJD President Sadashiv Pujari visited the area and discussed various issues and facilities with the local people.
Earlier, during the tenure of former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the villages in this panchayat saw development in road connectivity, education, health, and other welfare schemes for the poor. The villagers have benefited from amenities like Anganwadi centers.
Pujari interacted with the people of several villages in the Tulasi Hill area including Keranarmeti, Chyara Katal, Katua Padar, Dandipada, Chingridikund, Yondraguda, Kote Tepalli, among others.
He noted that the government has made various arrangements for drinking water and transportation in the villages of Managam and others. Earlier, as this was a Maoist-prone area, people faced hardships due to the lack of roads and connectivity. However, now the area is free from Maoists, and the government has provided roads and hand pumps for drinking water, making the people happy, said Mr. Pujari.
