Papadahandi: Two individuals sustained serious injuries after their bike collided with a tree near Kantamal Chhak under Papadahandi block.
According to reports, Uma Jani (25) and Baidenath Jani (20) from Kantamal village were heading to Maidalpura village on a bike for some work. After completing their task, they were returning to their village on the same bike.
Near Kantamal, they lost control of the vehicle, resulting in the bike crashing into a tree. Both riders suffered critical injuries in the accident.
Local residents quickly rescued the victims and transported them by ambulance to the Papadahandi Health Centre. However, due to the severity of their condition, they were referred to the District Headquarters Hospital in Nabarangpur for advanced treatment.
