Biju Patnaik’s Wartime Bravery: A Hero’s Role in the Stalingrad Campaign Remembered

New Delhi.During the Second World War, legendary figure Biju Patnaik displayed extraordinary bravery by participating in the Stalingrad campaign. He supplied arms and ammunition to the besieged Red Army, thereby helping pave the way for their victory. On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Russia’s victory over the Nazis, a celebration is being organized at the Russian Embassy in New Delhi. As a tribute to Biju Babu, a dedicated plaque will also be unveiled at the embassy. On this occasion, Biju Babu’s illustrious son and former Chief Minister, Hon’ble Shri Naveen Patnaik, has been specially invited by the Russian government as a distinguished guest.
