With upcoming panchayat and municipal elections ahead, discussions at the meeting focused on assessing the present political situation in the state and strengthening party organization and strategy. Political observers present in the hall discussed that such organizational strengthening could give a setback to the BJP government.
Key issues discussed in the conference included free electricity per unit, refund of chit fund money, employment for unemployed youth, fines imposed in the name of pollution control, education, healthcare, transportation, paddy procurement problems faced by farmers, and the law-and-order situation.
