Bhubaneswar, 29th Aug 2025: The Bhubaneswar–Junagarh Road–Bhubaneswar Express has now been fully upgraded to modern Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) coaches, ensuring improved safety, comfort, and travel experience for passengers.
The upgraded service will begin from Bhubaneswar on August 25 and from Junagarh Road on August 26. Until now, this train had been operating with one LHB rake and one traditional ICF rake. With this upgrade, the train will now run with LHB coaches from both ends.
The new composition includes:
- 2 Second AC coaches,
- 4 Third AC coaches,
- 5 Sleeper class coaches,
- 4 Second sitting coaches,
- 1 Guard-cum-luggage/Divyangjan coach,
and 2 General second-class sitting coaches (including facilities for persons with disabilities).
Earlier, it had been announced that one rake would be converted to LHB from August 8. Now, based on that step, both rakes have been upgraded.
According to Railways, this move will further strengthen rail connectivity between Odisha’s coastal and tribal regions, major cities of Andhra Pradesh, and the state capital Bhubaneswar.
