Nabarangpur, 17th Nov 2025: The Bhimabhoi Disability Empowerment Camp was organized on the premises of Nabarangpur Municipality. Nabarangpur MLA Gaurishankar Majhi attended as the Chief Guest. Municipality Chairperson Kunu Nayak, District Social Security Officer Sudhanshu Patra, and Municipal Chief Clerk Ajay Kumar Nanda attended as honored guests.
A total of 157 persons with disabilities registered at the camp. To assess the disability percentage, two medical specialists from the Nabarangpur District Headquarters Hospital were present and conducted health examinations for 92 persons with disabilities, after which disability certificates were issued to them. Based on these certificates, they will be provided with allowances, informed District Social Security Officer Sudhanshu Patra.
On this occasion, tricycles, wheelchairs, walking sticks, and hearing aids were distributed. Among others present were Councilors Nagendra Pattanaik, A. Satish, Sharmistha Deo, Somesh Khara, I. Muralikrishna, Poonam Sahu, and Mamata Maharana.
Municipal employee Jyoti Parichha conducted the program, with support from Sagarika Mahangkuda, Lipika Panda, and others.
