Tentulikhunti, 25th Oct 2025:  A Bhima Bhoi Disability Empowerment Camp was organized at Tentulikhunti Block of Nabarangpur district. The event was held in the presence of District Social Security Officer Ashish Ranjan Patra, with the cooperation of Tentulikhunti Social Security Officer Rabindra Sahu, under the supervision of BDO Manoj Panigrahi.
Block Chairperson Niladri Nayak attended the program and personally monitored its progress.

All Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, members of Saksham, and officials from various departments, along with Panchayat Executive Officers, actively participated and extended their support to make the event successful.

During the camp, separate help desks were set up for different types of disabilities—including physical, mental, hearing, and visual impairments—under various departments such as the Social Security Department. Persons with disabilities from various panchayats of the block came to the camp, where they were registered and examined by concerned medical specialists.

However, it was observed that a few persons with visual impairments could not complete their registration due to the absence of Aadhaar cards, and had to return without availing the benefits.

Medical examinations were conducted by ophthalmologist Swarnalata Sagarika Pradhan, orthopedic specialist Shibananda Budhia, ENT specialist Dr. Vibhu Kalyan Tripathy, and Dr. Shivprasad Sahu, among others.

Among the dignitaries present were Additional Block Development Officer Krupasindhu Nayak, Block Chairperson Niladri Nayak, Vice-Chairperson Rajendra Bisoayi, BJP Mandal President Abhimanyu Harijan, Mandal Vice-President Prashant Nayak, Child Development Project Officer Vinita Jethi, Panchayati Raj Extension Officer Radhakanta Rana, District President of Saksham Sujit Kumar Rath, and Block President Dilip Suna.

All the officials and guests provided information to the differently-abled participants regarding various government schemes and welfare facilities available for them.
