Malkangiri, 27th Oct 2025: A Bhim Bhoi Divyang (Differently-Abled) Empowerment Camp was organized at Sahid Lakshman Nayak High School, Sikhpalli, under Malkangiri Block, with the support of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
A total of 420 differently-abled persons were registered during the camp, and specialist doctors conducted thorough health examinations for them.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Block Development Officer (BDO) Tapan Kumar Senapati, with MP Representative Unga Padiyami, MLA Representative Satyasaran Pal, District Social Security Officer Nirmal Dharua, School Managing Committee Member Somnath Madhi, Management Committee Member Muda Madkami, Psychiatrist Dr. Husain, Ophthalmologist Dr. Ashok Kumar Khamari, and Group Social Security Officer Subhashini Mallik attending as guests.
Headmaster Ramesh Maharana proposed the vote of thanks, while Teacher Dinenbandhu Bej conducted the stage proceedings.
Several teachers and staff including Sanat Sarkar, Manisha Bepari, Laxman Madkami, Piyush Biswas, Anand Adhikari, Asima Das, Tran Gain, Tapas Sardar, Premanshu Sarkar, Chandra Bate, Gourchandra Biswas, Chinmay Biswas, Sukanta Kumar Majumdar, Pushpalata Jena, Yamuna Muduli, Abhijit Adhikari, Bijay Madkami, Dhanapati Kabasi, Ranjan Gain, Nikhol Banerjee, Gourchandra Bhumia, Ramkrishna Dandasena, Debendra Madkami, Ramen Dantkela, Sanatan Barja, Danbandhu Bej, Niranjan Mahapatra, Hemanta Kumar Sahu, Sameer Kant Tripathy, Rubita Maharana, and Santosh Panda were present at the event.
The camp was coordinated by Bhima Madkami and Ramesh Chandra Bhuyan, ensuring smooth conduct of all activities.
